Why Pianonadu Exists
Pianonadu is a small independent blog about the piano and the music-making that grows around it. It is written for people sitting at a keyboard at home: adult beginners, parents watching a child start lessons, returning players who stopped years ago, and anyone trying to decide what to buy next.
The three subjects
Pianonadu is organised around three areas that feed into one another. A good practice routine means little on a poorly set up instrument, and a fine instrument is wasted without a sensible way of learning on it.
- Piano looks at acoustic and digital instruments, touch and action, posture, pedalling, tuning, and the everyday care of a piano in an ordinary room.
- Music Education covers how to practise, how to read music, choosing a teacher or a method, and keeping motivation alive through the slow middle stretch of learning.
- Instruments & Gear covers headphones, stands, benches, pedals, cables, metronomes, apps and other equipment, judged by how they behave in daily use.
How the pieces are put together
The goal is advice you can try at the keyboard the same evening. Statements about technique and teaching are checked against published pedagogy, method books and the guidance of recognised music schools. Statements about equipment are checked against the maker’s own specifications and manuals. When a matter comes down to taste, room size or budget, the article says that plainly instead of declaring a winner.
Instruments and software change quickly, and models are replaced. Pages are revisited and revised when a recommendation stops being accurate.
Who it is for
Nothing here assumes a grand piano, a studio or a conservatory background. Some readers want a first keyboard that will not disappoint them in a year, others want a second opinion on one stubborn habit in their playing. Both are welcome.
